Durukan Real Estate has advised buyers in Istanbul since 2009. Above all, we chose to go narrow rather than wide: twenty-five buildings we know from the inside, instead of a catalogue of the whole country.
Most agencies claim the whole city. However, a building takes years to learn — which block gets the afternoon sun, what the service charge really covers, which floors resell quickly and which ones sit. Therefore we cover a short list of projects, and we know each of them by heart.
In practice that means we can tell an international buyer something a portal never will: not simply what is for sale, but which of it is worth buying. Sometimes the honest answer is that nothing on the list fits, and we say so.
Buying is the visible part. In addition, most of our work happens either before the viewing or long after the keys change hands.
One named advisor takes your enquiry and stays with you through the viewing, the title deed and everything after it. So you will not be handed around, and you will not be called every morning.
Because we hold stock in these buildings ourselves, we know which floor lines are hard to resell. Therefore our shortlist usually arrives with a short list of what not to buy.
Utilities, furnishing, tenants, declarations and the eventual resale. Afterwards the same team that sold you the apartment is the team that manages it.
Our team speaks English, Arabic, Russian and Turkish. As a result you will be matched with someone who speaks yours, from the first message onwards.
We keep two offices, one on each side of the Bosphorus. So visit either one for a coffee when you are next in Istanbul.

Ten of our twenty-six advisors are on the home page, with their photographs and the languages they speak. So you will know who is writing back before you send the first message.
